The Enlightment was
during the 1600 and 1700. It was all about thinking. Thomas Hobbes believed
that the government was the one to keep order while John Lock believe that the people
gave the government the power. That people could kick out the government if
they felt like it.
Philosophes are people who value nature, happiness, and
liberty. Voltaire was an influential philosopher
who published books about tolerance and reason. He is imprisoned twice for believing
that.
Montesquieu was a French writer who favored freedom and direct democracy. Cesare Beccaria was a person who like a fair justice system.
Mary Wollstonecraft defended women rights. She always argued that women should have equal rights and women deserve education too. She persuades rich women to spread the ideas of women rights too.

simple philosopher during the enlightenment.

penal or weather to stay in jail. The Inalienable rights was your rights to be
a citizen. The separation of power, was
something dived into equal rights into branches. Till this day we still use it.
